Mounds and Mountains, John David Mooney Watercolors
52 watercolors and drawings all executed in 2013 by the Foundation's Artistic Director, John David Mooney, have just been installed on the third floor gallery of the Foundation. All the landscapes were done on site in Colorado, and a special series focused on just one mountain. Change of atmosphere, time of day, light, and even rain are reflected in this series the artist calls My Mountain since he focused on painting it daily. The nudes and portraits are also all done from life.
