Our
Impact
For over 40 years, the John David Mooney Foundation has served as a global catalyst for art and civic engagement. We provide the infrastructure and mentorship to support a robust and growing community of artists and visionaries. From housing artists at risk to realizing monumental public works, our programs foster international resilience and cultural diplomacy.
JDMF Fellows
More than 600 international artists have participated in our prestigious Fellowship program. These alumni represent a global network of creators and scholars who have shaped the Foundation and pushed the boundaries of their respective fields.

Artist Residencies
The Foundation provides interdisciplinary, professional studio residencies for exceptional artists and architects. These programs last from six months to two years. Participants engage in a "hands-on" process of research and experimentation, collaborating on projects that bridge the relationship between art and the environment. The Foundation is committed to supporting its residents long after their time in Chicago.

Community Partnerships
We collaborate with academic, civic, and international institutions to drive social impact. These partnerships expand access to the Foundation’s resources and strengthen the fabric of our community.
