CURRENT EXHIBITION
Luminarts Cultural Foundation
2025 Visual Arts Exhibition
May 15 – May 22, 2025

On May 15, we will be announcing the Visual Artists who will be awarded the Luminarts Cultural Foundation's Visual Arts Fellowship

The John David Mooney Foundation is proud to display the visual artworks of the 10 finalists contending for a Visual Arts Fellowship through the Luminarts Cultural Foundation. Luminarts, founded in 1949 as the Union League Civic & Arts Foundation (CAF), works to cultivate Chicago's vibrant arts community by supporting exemplary young artists through its competitive programs that offer financial awards, artistic opportunities, and mentoring that bridge the gap between education and career.

We were honored to play host to these extraordinary young artists, originating from a wide array of disciplines, as they launch their careers in the field.
The Visual Arts Luminarts Fellows are awarded unrestricted $10,000 awards as well as additional opportunities for professional development, project funding, and additional resources for a period of ten years. From photography to sculptures to paintings to digital projections, all contestants brought a blessing of talent and vision to our space, each in an individual and unique way.

Thank you and congratulations to the Finalists: Alizah Conard, Michael Cuadrado, Josiah Ellner, Alex Penny Fuchs, Alfred Jackson, Hai-Wen Lin, Makayla Lindsay, Ari Norris, Ava Peterson, and Ruby Que.
